The Commander in Chief of the armed forces, President Yoweri Museveni has made some changes in the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF).
Among the changes announced on Thursday evening, Maj Gen Samuel Kawaga has been transferred to Nairobi as Defence Advisor.
Brig Gen Joseph Semwanga has been appointed Commander of UPDF 1st Division while Brig Gen David Mugisha is the new of 3rd Division Commander of Special Forces Command (SFC).
Also, Brig Gen Felix Busizoori has been appointed 3rd Division Second in Command while Col Herbert Nabimanya has been transferred from SFC to Land Forces.
Museveni has promoted Lt Col Allan Matsiko to Colonel while Maj Dancun Kafeero has been promoted to Lt Col.
