Member of Parliament Twaha Kagabo, who was previously affiliated with the National Unity Platform (NUP), is among the candidates who have turned up at the National Resistance Movement (NRM) Electoral Commission offices in Kyadondo to collect nomination forms ahead of the 2026 general elections.

The exercise, which began on Monday, will run until June 15, 2025, at the NRM Electoral Commission Offices, Plot 13 Kyadondo Road.

Kagabo wants to defend his Bukoto South Member of Parliament seat on the ruling NRM ticket.

Kagabo fell out with NUP over two years ago, and he has since been speaking against the party and its top leadership.

In one of his many interviews, the controversial MP said that since joining the MK Movement, his life has changed for the better.

“My life has changed for the better since I left the ‘struggle,’” said Kagabo as he unveiled his Land Cruiser V8, commonly known as ‘Mpa Enkoni,’ which he claimed was a gift from the First Son, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba.

Kagabo, a medical doctor by training, further claimed that during the many years he spent in the ‘struggle,’ he received no reward from his leader, Bobi Wine. However, since joining the movement, ‘obulaamu butambula nga weyabula,’ which loosely translates to “life is moving so well as he anticipated.”
