aronda rip2Contrary to earlier reports that Internal Affairs Minister Gen. Aronda Nyakairima had passed away in transit in Dubai, on Saturday morning, it turns out the former Chief Of Defence Forces didn’t make it to Dubai as he passed away on the plane from South Korea.

Government spokesperson Ofowno Opondo says that an Emirates airline hostess found Aronda dead on the plane. She tried to wake him up for breakfast and discovered that he was unresponsive.

Apparently, he had boarded the plane in good health.

An earlier a photo had been circulating on social media of Aronda in an airport bus with claims that it was the last photo of him alive in Dubai. It turns out that photo was taken earlier.
