Dr. Stella Nyanzi has taken FDC’s defiance campaign to fashionable levels. The irony is that last time she undressed to protest and this time she is dressing up to protest.

Dr. Stella Nyanzi broke the internet a few weeks ago when she undressed, protesting against her boss Prof. Mahmood Mamdani locking her out of her office. But she is now fully dressed in protest – well in Dr. Kizza Besigye FDC shoes.

The Makerere researcher posted a photo of her blue pumps, with the FDC emblem and Besigye’s photo. She added the following defiance campaign.

“I am proud to be associated with the on-going Defiance social protests. We now have the government shaking with panic! Wanatetemeka, wanatetemeka, wanatetemeka, wanatetemeka!

In the illegitimate regime’s frenzy, various stupid mistakes are being made. Armed soldiers are posted everywhere. Arbitrary arrests of presumed Defiance protesters are filling up dilapidated police cells. Fighter Mig planes were unleashed in the low skies over millions of Kampala city-dwellers. Judges are banning everything done by the Defiance protesters. Ministers are banning even press media coverage of Defiance protests.

Meanwhile, the solidarity, support and strength of the Defiance social protesters is growing by leaps. We continue to demand an independent audit of the presidential elections. We look out for each other and have each other’s backs, even as the defiance protests heighten in intensity, magnitude, effect and scope. In that spirit of solidarity, a comrade in the struggle against illegitimate presidency – Dr. Enoq Omwanawomwanawomuntu Etwino Sabitiira surprised me with a gift of FDC shoes and a FDC purse. I celebrate this solidarity and oneness.

One people, one Uganda!”
