Media personality Viana Indi, whose real name is Vivian Ayesiga Kabahindi, has announced her departure from Next Media after four years.

Viana joined Next Media in June 2022 and quickly became a familiar face on television and radio. She initially filled in for Sheila Gashumba on NBS After 5 before officially taking over as the show’s female host in 2023. On the programme, she worked alongside Douglas Lwanga, MC Kats, DJ Roja and VJ Mercy.

During her time at the station, she also co-hosted Next Brunch on Next Radio, building a strong connection with audiences and growing her presence in the media industry.

In a farewell message, Viana described her time at Next Media as a period of growth and transformation. She said the platforms helped her build confidence, sharpen her skills and find her voice as a media personality. She also thanked the management, production teams and colleagues for their support and belief in her.

Her exit comes after the end of her contract, marking the close of what she called a meaningful chapter in her career. She says she is now looking forward to new opportunities with confidence and excitement.

Before joining Next Media, Viana worked with NTV Uganda and Galaxy FM, steadily rising to become one of the most recognised media hosts in Kampala.
