Ian Bukenya a food vendor at Galaxy Guest House on Ben Kiwanuka Street has won the first Toyota Premio in Airtel’s ongoing Mujje Tulumbe promotion aimed at drumming up support for the Uganda Cranes final Africa Cup of Nations Qualifier game against Comoros.




“I cannot believe this. I recharged with just Shs500 and here I am as an owner of a car,” an elated Bukenya said.

Airtel officials found him at his workplace on Ben Kiwanuka Street and gave him a ride before handing over his car at his home in Lugala.

Seven more cars are to be given out in the promotion. Airtel also gives out Shs1m to one lucky customer every day of the week and this will go on until the end of the promotion, in Septemher, when Uganda Cranes takes on Comoros, hoping to break a 37 year jinx and qualify for AfCon  slated for Gabon in 2017.

A win in the game guarantees Uganda a place in Africa’s biggest soccer showpiece.
