Socialite “Bad Black” Has Just Been Released From Luzira Prison

Reknown city socialite Shanitah Namuyimba, more famously known as Bad Black, has this morning walked out of Luzira Prison a free woman folowing her four-year sentence for embezzling Shs 11bn from DaviShan Company which she co-owned with then lover Greenhalgh.

Shortly after her release Black headed to Bugolobi-based hang-out Liquid Silk, where she addressed the media and her fans –we are soon giving you details of that meet. We also understand that Black is set to hold a party at the hang-out later today evening.

It might be remembered that the Anti-corruption in July 2012 found Bad Black guilty of embezzling Shs 11bn from DaviShan Company which she co-owned with then lover Greenhalgh, and Justice Catherine Bamugemereire sentenced her to four years in prison. Black was convicted along with ehr pother former lover Meddie Sentongo, who was sentenced to 18 months.

However, after serving a few months of her sentence, Bad Black reported that her breasts were rotting and applied for bail to go for treatment in India. Then High Court judge Stella Arach-Amoko granted the socialite a cash bail of Shs100 million, yet when she stepped out of the country Black disappeared and was reported to be parting away in Dubai, until in mid-2013 she was arrested in Kigali and returned to Luzira.
