Eddy Kenzo might soon need a new trophy cabinet as he keeps bagging awards. He was the big winner at last night’s Uganda Entertainment Awards, bagging four trophies.

The singer took home awards for Best Video (Soraye), Best East African Act, Best Male Artiste and Artiste of the Year.

“This is the first time I am attending a Ugandan award ceremony. I have always snubbed Ugandan awards because I have always been ‘robbed’. I have won top awards world over in the past, but never in Uganda. Why ‘rob’ me?” he said.

Nigerian singer Yemi Alade performed only two songs promising to return to Kampala for a full concert.

Meanwhile, South African TV personality Bonang Matheba was on the red carpet broadcasting the arrivals live on Urban TV alongside the awards CEO Kabs Haloha.
