Maxi Priest to jet in next Wednesday

Its official Reggae superstar Maxi priest, Lin SoulTrumpeter Rountree and Saxophonist Jackiem Joyner, who are set to headline this year’s Nile Gold Jazz and Soul Safari will be in the country next Wednesday.




According to reliable sources, the main acts will arrive aboard an Emirates flight.

Upon arrival, the acts will meet their local counterparts as well as Nile Breweries officials and will hold a presser at Entebbe international Airport before driving to the Kampala Serena hotel where they will be staying.

This year’s Jazz Safari has undergone some major changes. Besides the drop in ticket prices from Shs180,000 to Shs 130,000 for Gold and from Shs 300,000 to Shs 250,000 for platinum, the venue also changed from Kampala Serena Hotel to Lugogo Cricket Oval.

The organisers also introduced a new session that will feature Uganda’s music legends; Moses Matovu, Tonny Ssenkebejje and Eddie Ganja who will perform alongside new school artistes Lilian Mbabazi and Michael Kitanda.
