The Kanyamunyu brothers and Cynthia Munwangari back to court

Mathew Kanyamunyu, Joseph Kanyamunyu and Cynthia Munwangari have this morning returned to Nakawa magistrate’s court.

The trio is accused of the killing of child rights activist Kenneth Akena that occurred on November 12th last year.

While before Nakawa court’s grade one magistrate Noah Sajjabi on December 20th, the Kamunyu brothers and girlfriend were further remanded to Luzira until today as court ruled to continue with further investigations.

According to the law the Kanyamunyu case is a capital offence therefore the accused can only be bailed out or tried by the high court once investigations are complete.

On November 12 last year, Kanyamunyu allegedly shot Akena whom he accused of scratching his car while at Lugogo game stores. While in company of Cynthia, they rushed him to Norvik hospital before his had last breath.
