Hundreds of graduates this morning thronged Cafe Javas, a full-service, quick-casual, coffee-themed restaurant chain in Kampala for jobs.

The restaurant earlier advertised opportunities for kitchen staff, barista, waiters and waitresses.

The uncomfortable sight of smartly dressed young men and women hoping for a chance of employment is glaring reality of the disturbing rate of unemployment in the country.
