Musician Denis Rackla passes away in accident

The Late Denis Rackla.

Singer Denis Rackla passed away in an accident this Friday. Hemdee Kiwanuka, son to veteran singer Halima Namakula who worked with Rackla at No End studios confirmed the unfortunate news.




Hemdee said that Rackla was involved in an accident while driving from his farm in Kayunga. He was rushed to Mulago Hospital following the accident, but he didn’t make it.

Born Denis Mpiima, Denis Rackla was a singer, songwriter and producer. He began his music journey in 2004. He was most popular for his song titled Tugenda Kusula Mungato and Kabiite on which he featured Desire Luzinda.

He worked with several musicians including Iryn Namubiru, Halima Namakula, Juliana Kanyomozi, Rema Namakula, Toolman and others. 

He penned songs like Njakunooba and Newadeyo for Iryn Namubiru. He also wrote songs like; Mubiite by Desire, Tokyuse Mwami by Priscilla Kalibala, Tombowa Mukwano bu Juliana Kanyomozi and Kibaduguda by Halima.
