Coach Micho has picked positives from Cranes’ early exit at the ongoing African Cup Of Nations.

Couch Micho

If all Ugandans were as realistic as Coach Micho then the tendency of high expectations would seize in our motherland. This afternoon Micho and Captain Geoffrey Massa held the pre-match press conference ahead of the Mali game in which he revealed his thoughts about the early exit.

“I believe people were aware what to expect after 39 years. We came to play three cup finals, ”Micho explained. “We are also using this tourney as preparations for the world cup qualifiers resuming in August against Egypt”, he added.

However, he promised to field a strong side in the Mali game since millions of fans will follow the match on Wednesday. He hopes the players will give the best as they have been doing to make the fans happy.

“I’m proud of the players led by Massa. They carried the Ugandan flag high. Mali will feel the heat on Wednesday, “he concluded.

Uganda Cranes lost the first two games 1-0.

Uganda faces Mali in the final group game with nothing to lose as Mali fights for a mathematical chance to win and qualify to the next round should Ghana beat Egypt by at least two goals.
