Salvador and lover Daphne

Comedian Salvado’s better half- Daphne Frankstock is now among the investors and manufacturers we have in UG! The latest on our desk is that Daphne recently teamed up with her mother- Christine Mbabazi and the two set up a small cosmetics factory in Kawempe, according to a source.

Daphne and her mother named their project Urembo Cosmetics and although they are yet to finalise the registration process, they have been able to produce a few samples of the products they intend to put on the market. For starters, Daphne told us that all their products will be purely herbal.

“We shall have a range of products; we have Urembo herbal soap for the skin; it will remove pimples, rashes, acne, black spots and eczema. We have Wema pure coconut hair oil which makes hair stronger, longer, easier to comb and treats dandruff,” she said.

Daphne added they will also manufacture special soap/oil that will be used as a makeup remover and a special one that will treat infections and help ‘tighten’ women!

Daphne told us that they get their raw materials from Mombasa, Congo and different parts of Uganda. Daphne however remained tightlipped on how much the venture has cost them so far.
