Kampala Metropolitan Police commander Frank Mwesigwa

Over the weekend, Kampala Metropolitan Police commander Frank Mwesigwa walked longtime lover Kamwine Monica down the aisle in Kiruhura. The tough but reserved Frank managed to keep his wedding a low-key event, to the extent that even some of his subordinates at CPS are just reading it from here.

Frank, who is considered one of Kayihura and First Son Maj. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s blue-eyed boy, was named Kampala Metropolitan Police commander last July, after his predecessor was dragged to court to face brutality charges.

Back to the wedding, Frank threw a lavish kasiki at Club Guvnor last week before he exchanged vows with Monica at a church in his home area in Rwoburundo, Macuncu parish in Kiruhura district. The newlyweds then hosted close friends and relatives to a sumptuous reception at Frank’s parents’ home in the same area of Rwoburundo.

The wedding was attended by city tycoons, police bosses, as well as top bosses from the various security outfits in the country. Unlike many newlyweds that go for honeymoon immediately, Frank is said to have reported back on duty this week to ensure the city is in order, before he flies out for his honeymoon! Congs Frank and Monica!
