Bebe  Cool will not be taking  part in the prestigious  Club Music  Video Awards,  the only music video awards  in the  country.

To bring  you up to speed,  after  Bebe Cool  swept clean  Hipipo awards  year in year out maintaining  a dominant  presence  both on and off stage  at the awards,  the singer came under stern criticism from many who believed  he was behind  the awards  and literally ” rewarding” himself.

Bebe Cool  played  cool all these  years but the backlash after  the recent  ceremony  Was The last  straw  that  broke  the Gagamel gladiator’s back.

He went emotional  and announced  he will not participate  in any local  awards  hence forth.
By the time of this announcement,  Club  Music   Video  Awards  had nominated  him twice  in two categories.

The organizers  saw it fit that  they honour his word so they have scrapped  his name off and guess  what? Bebe Cool is cool with it.

While  fans could not honour  their  boycott  last year,  Bebe is now perhaps  showing  an example.

We have no idea  how long  the boycott  will run  though.
