The looming murder cases in the country seem to be far from over. While the dust surrounding the broad day light murder of police officers has not even begun to settle, a 25-year-old man in Dokolo District has been slain.

Ceaser Okello met his untimely demise last Saturday after his friend Isaac Okabo stabbed him in the neck during a brawl over a 2GB memory card worth about Shs15000.

According to Mr Bosco Ogwang, the chairman Ageni Trading where the incident happened, the deceased who hails from Ageni Parish, Okwongodul Sub-county in Dokolo District was drinking with his friend when they failed to identify their respective cards.

The confusion created a scuffle during which Okabo pulled out a knife from his pocket and stubbed Okello.

“Okabo tried to escape but was later arrested and detained at Aburawak Police Post in Okwongodul Sub-county,” Ogwang narrated.

Aminsi Kayondo, the Dokolo District Police Commander confirmed the incident and warned people against excessive drinking. He also noted that the police would launch an operation to arrest people who drink in the morning.

Relatives of the deceased said that the two were close friends and that the incident was most unfortunate.
