Ivan’s vigil at Zari’s mother’s home in Munyonyo.

After fallen socialite Ivan Semwanga’s father accused his ex and mother of his children Zarinah Tlale of being behind the stress that caused her son’s death, naturally Zari’s family felt unwelcome at Semwanga’s family home and they decided to hold their own vigil at Zari’s mother’s Munyonyo home.

Zari’s mother Halima Hassan says that although Zari left the father of her three children Ivan and got into another relationship with Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platnumz where she sired two more children, Ivan has never treated her with animosity.

“He was still like a child in this home and would always visit me whenever he was in Uganda,” she said during the vigil at her home.

Many of Zari’s friends attended the vigil in Munyonyo, the same locality with Ivan’s home.

Zari’s mother said that she is hurt that Ivan’s family is calling Zari a prostitute because she “eloped” with Diamond Platnumz.

She also wonders why they say Zari wants to steal Ivan’s wealth yet they made the money together.

Ivan’s body is expected in the country on Sunday and burial will be on Tuesday at his ancestral home in Kayunga.
