I have no rift with security minister Gen. Tumukunde — IGP Kale Kayihura

Police boss IGP Gen. Kale Kayihura has refuted reports claiming that he is not in good terms with the security minister Gen Henry Tumukunde.

In a exclusive interview with NBS TV, IGP Kayihura stated that he has no rift with the security minster.

“From my point of view, I don’t have any problem with the minister of security and I stick to my mandate of being IGP. How do I disagree with a minister, on what basis? Whoever wants to make it an issue probably knows something I don’t know’, he  explained.

“I am on a humble level, I cannot have a rift with a full honorable minister,” he added.

He concluded that the public is enjoying peace because of the great collaboration amongst security agencies.
