Abiriga’s killers should be arrested first, not mere talkers like Betty Nambooze – Katikkiro Mayiga

Charles Peter Mayiga, the Katikkiro of Buganda Kingdom has lashed out at the police for failing arrested the real killers of slain MP, Ibrahim Abiriga and instead targeting “mere talkers” like Betty Nambooze.

Mayiga who was addressing Buganda’s Parliament added that; “Words have never killed anyone. Abiriga was killed by bullets. Why doesn’t the police find the gunmen first and come to the talkers?”

Mukono Municipality MP Nambooze – currently in India for treatment – was arrested on June 13 over a Facebook post that allegedly contravened the Computer Misuse Act in the wake of the gruesome shooting of Arua Municipality MP Abiriga and his bodyguard and blood brother Saidi Kongo.
