International award-winning standup comedian Patrick ‘Salvador’ Idringi will treat Ugandans to a steady supply of humour yet again after the return of his star-studded Africa Laughs show was confirmed yesterday, September 4. First held in 2013, the feast of laughter will celebrate its fourth season on October 8, 2018 at the Kampala Serena Hotel. Salvador has over the years transformed into one of the biggest brands in comedy both locally and across the continent, with his blend of laugh-out-loud humour and cheeky charm. Keeping true to the benchmark he has set, Salvador will be flying in international comedians Prof Hamo (Kenya), Kevin J (UK), Basketmouth (Nigeria), Alfred Kainga (Zimbabwe), Eddie Kadi (Congo), Mc Jessy (Kenya) and Arthur Nkusi (Rwanda). Also, local acts are lined up for the Singleton-sponsored event include; Daniel Omara, Prince Emma, Ronnie Mcvex, Agnes Akite and Madrat&Chiko . There will definitely be no reason to miss out on what promises to be an evening of rib-cracking comedy at the Serena Conference Hall come Monday October 8 with individual tickets going for Shs100,000 and a table available for Shs500,000. The lineup promises a blend of acts that include dialects, character voices, accents, great insight into human nature and street wise humour. For Salvador, the journey the Africa Laughs show has enjoyed is testament to the growth of comedy in Uganda and the region at large. “The industry has risen from nothing to grace. As major stakeholders in the industry, we have the challenge of keeping things new and exciting to keep our audiences satisfied. Africa Laughs returns with lots of additions as we continue to grow and develop comedy,” said Salvador. “One of the finest feelings in the world is the deep rooted belly giggle. It can bring people together to establish amazing connections, and create unforgettable moments. We have every  reason to be proud of our association with comedy through Singleton, a drink that brings pleasure from the first sip,” said Anne Nakiyaga, UBL’s Luxury Portfolio manager.
