Africa Laughs returns to Kololo Airstrip

After a two-year break, Africa Laughs is returning to Kololo Airstrip with a bigger lineup, and this will happen this Friday.

The comedy show organized by renowned comedian Patrick Idringi, also known as Salvado, started in 2013 and this year it will be happening for the sixth time.

The 6th edition of Africa Laughs will have performances from chosen African comedians from different African countries.

The comedians will perform back to back with the Ugandan comedians and the artistes as Salvado’s job as the event organizer is to host the event as he cracks some jokes.

From different countries, Eric Omondi from Kenya, Gordons from Nigeria, Q-Dube from Zimbabwe, Loyiso Gola from South Africa, Celeste Ntuli from South Africa, and Daliso Chaponda from Zambia. Locally, comedians like Dr Hilary Okello, Agnes Akite, Madrat and Chiko, and Okello Okello, Emma Napoleone, and Ronnie McVex.

The show will feature musical performances by top Ugandan musicians like Azawi and Ykee Benda.

It is confirmed that the International performers will arrive in the country in the wee hours of Thursday morning as they will together with Salvado and other sponsors address a press conference later in the day.

Tickets to this year’s Africa Laughs are physical and online and they will go for Shs50,000 early bird and Shs75,000 at the gate for ordinary. For the VIP, an early bird ticket will go for Shs100,000 early bird and Shs120,000 at the gate. A table of 8 people will go for Shs300,000.
