Busoga mourns Kyabazinga’s brother who was knocked on his way to watch World Cup

Wilson Nadiope, the only brother to reigning Kyabazinga of Busoga, Gabula Nadiope, was knocked by a speeding truck on the Jinja-Iganga highway near Walugogo on Friday 6 as he crossed the road to watch a World Cup match.

According to his friends, the prince left his internship place – Kakira Sugar Works – to watch Brazil play Belgium at the Church Missionary Society (CMS).

The plans were disrupted when a speeding truck rammed into Wilson who was walking on by the pavement and left him for dead.

The deceased was a third-year student of Environmental Science at Uganda Christian University (UCU), Mukono but was however off semester but by the time of the tragedy.

He was laid to rest at his ancestral grounds in Kamuli – Bujumbula Parish.
