PHOTOS: Inside Mutaasa Kafeero’s new Hotel Triangle in Mbarara

Lying a few metres above the new Mbarara Southern by-pass is the recently opened Hotel Triangle – an imposing gem that many have rumoured to be owned by a foreign investor. 

With 106 rooms, a presidential suite, mega conference centres, three swimming pools, children play centre among other facilities, this could as well be Western Uganda’s biggest tourism and hospitality game changer outside of the traditional game lodges.

Sitting on 160 acres, Hotel Triangle that is a 25-minute drive to Lake Mburo National Park and about an hour to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

The hotel will also give cross-border travellers a choice to stay over at a deluxe hotel while en route their journies and as the Mbarara Municipality Mayor, Robert Kakyebezi put it, the all-new facility will also solve the address the current descent accommodation challenges since Mbarara is facing. 

According to Mutaasa Kafeero, the Buganda Kingdom envoy in Ankole, at least 75% of the wood and other materials were made in Uganda by Ugandans. It has 10 conference rooms, including an outdoor centre, three boardrooms, a massage, gym and spa, forex bureau, babysitting and childcare services. 

Besides business and accommodation services, the hotel also offers wedding and honeymoon services – a that brings Mbarara skyline out at night.
