Legendary Congolese ‘bum bouncing’ goalkeeper Robert Kidiaba wins MP race

The list of artistes, footballers entering politics continues to grow in Africa and Legendary Congolese goalkeeper Robert Kidiaba is the latest addition.

Kidiaba became famous for his bum-shuffle goal celebrations in the penalty area has been elected Member of Parliament for Upper Katanga in Lubumbashi City in the just concluded election under the opposition National Party for Democracy and Development.

The 42 year-old  has three CAF Champions League titles to his name won during his stint at Congolese Club TP Mazembe. He is the second famous footballer to join politics after the current President of Liberia George Weah.
