Yesterday, the Speaker of Parliament Hon. Rebecca kadaga expressed happiness because of the improvement in the 2018 Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) results for the Busoga region.

“In the past, I would look up the Busoga results from the bottom of the page but this year, I went up,” said Rebecca Kadaga.

According to Kadaga, in the last years Busoga has been performing poorly in PLE however, 2018 results have proved that they have put up a better performance compared to all the other years.

Kadaga who was launching a road map for the Busoga Consortium said the improvement in Primary Leaving Examinations performance was due to concerted efforts by the Busoga education trust led by Ambassador Kalibbala.

“I am thanking the schools in Busoga for working hard to ensure that Busoga pupils passed highly in PLE unlike in the past,” Speaker Kadaga stated.

A part from the improvement in the 2018 Primary Leaving Examination results, Busoga’s Quinn Abenakyo was also crowned Miss World Africa at the 2018 Miss World in China.

Quiin Abenakyo is the first Miss Uganda to make it to the top five finalists for Miss World.
