Salvador Idringi’s ‘Kukyala’ to the family of his longtime girlfriend Daphne Frakstock is the celebrity wedding-related event that made headlines over the weekend, but it was in no way the only one. Before Salvador headed to Daphne’s Mbarara family home yesterday (Sunday), on Saturday one of Uganda’s most eligible bachelors, Apostle Grace Lubega was introduced by his fiancee Nicole Kavuma to her family.

Nicole introduced her preacher fiancee Apostle Grace Lubega at her parents’ home in a traditional marriage ceremony that was quite successfully kept out of the public eye (read media), and which was only attended by close friends and family over the weekend

Matooke Republic has learnt that the introduction ceremony was held to pave way for the couple to exchange vows this Saturday ( March 9) at Lake Victoria Serena Kigo in a private function. That both Apostle Lubega and the bride being Baganda by tribe, and the girl coming from a traditional, aristocratic family that has close ties with Mmengo, the introduction ceremony by all means had to be held before the wedding could go on.

Though details from the event are still scanty, Matooke Republic has caught word that Apostle Lubega delivered quite a fortune of presents to his bride’s family.

Nicole is a Muganda who hails from a family close to the Royal family.  It is believed that the Katikiro will grace her wedding. Her father, Dennis Paul Kavuma, commonly known as DPK, was a household name during the early 2000’s. He was ranked in the ranks of Sudhir Ruparelia, Bob Kabonero, and Sandor Walusimbi in terms of being high-fliers on the Kampala social scene.

Nicole went to Seeta High School for her O’Level and St. Mary’s College Kitende for her A‘level. She later joined Uganda Christian University for a Bachelor’s degree in Law but didn’t proceed to Law Development Centre after graduating.

When asked to describe Nicole, one of her former course mates who preferred to remain anonymous said she was one of the most beautiful girls in their class and the pastor has got himself a beautiful wife.
