Kyadondo East MP, singer Robert Sentamu Kyagulanyi aka Bobi wine has been remanded to Luzira Prison. The musician-cum-politician, who prefers to be called a leader, appeared at Buganda Road Court today afternoon on grounds of inciting violence and holding unlawful gatherings.

The state alleges that Bobi Wine, together with several others, last year went to the Constitutional Square in Kampala and held a public meeting without adhering to the required criteria, hence disobeying the public management act of 2013. The charges are in relation to the social media tax protest held last year.

Barbie Kyagulanyi, wife to Bobi Wine and his brother Fred Nyanzi, were present in court.
