While attending mass at St Paul, Kako West Buganda Diocese yesterday, the King of Buganda Kingdom Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II revealed his dissatisfaction with government over omitting Masaka town from the nine districts that will be elevated to city status.

Kabaka Mutebi said he was surprised to come across such news yet he is aware that Masaka has all the necessary requirements to attain the city status. Kabaka added on that he is going to appoint a team of officials to engage with government over the matter.

Last month government approved the creation of nine cities across the country. These included; Gulu, Entebbe, Fort Portal, Lira, Mbarara, Jinja, Arua and Mbale.
