New details have emerged about former Uganda Cranes coach, Sebastien Desabre’s big money move to Egyptians giants, Pyramids F.C.

According to exclusive sources, the Frenchman had a hard time deciding which club to settle in as two top flights sides in the Egyptian league and Tunisian club tabled their bids for his signature.

Desabre seemed to have already passed on the $25,000 (Shs93m) offer by Tunisia’s Etoile Sportive Du Sahel for Al-Ahly SC’s $70,000 (Shs259m) but Pyramids – a side currently owned by Salem Al-Shamsy, a stinking rich business mogul from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) made him an offer he couldn’t refuse.

For the two-year contract he signed with the Pyramids on Monday, the tactician will be bagging a whopping $90,000 (Shs332m) – 252m more than what he was earning as the Uganda Cranes coach.

After a discussion with his lawyers and agents – Belgian’s One Goal sports management – that also manages Senegal and Liverpool’s marksman, Sadio Mane among other top playing and coaching talents, Desabre made a “bold and brave decision” to join Pyramids F.C.

“I had lots of proposals. We took the Pyramids choice because they are a great club with big ambitions and I want to help them achieve the mission and goals set,” Desabre told the media soon after being unveiled.

Not a stranger to the Egyptian league, the 43-year-old will become the Pyramid’s fifth coach in a space of just one year.
