Daddy Andre or Nessim? Here are the hottest music producers in Uganda right now

Producers are most times ignored and receive the least recognition in the music industry yet they make those beats you go down to, those solo guitar tunes and piano chords you like to hum to.

Matooke Republic has compiled a list of the hottest producers in Uganda right now that guarantee you top notch beats.

It is not easy to find a good producer that is also a good artiste. However, Andrew Ojambo, alias Daddy Andre, has proved to be an all-around artiste. He writes, produces and sings. Daddy Andre has had bangers for the songs he wrote and those he produced such as Obubadi by John Blaq, Nkwatako by Sheebah, Yo Body by Vinka, Wasibuka wa by Bebe Cool, among others.

Nessim Pan Production

Nessim, real name Isma Mukkuza, is a gem in audio production. He has crafted beats for Ugandans and those in other countries. Some of his hit songs include Spice Diana’s Jangu Ondabe, Chozen Becky’s Bankuza, Biri Biri, Turn de Replay, Mummy yo, among others. 

His international clients include stars like Koshens, The Ben, Cherry Na Nina, Patoranking, Harmonize.

Herbert Skillz

Herbert Dramuke, popularly known as Herbert Skillz is a true definition of an international act. With a studio known as Sound Makers Music in both Kampala and London, Herbert works back and forth in Uganda and UK. His major strength is in mixing and mastering, and he is the brain behind recent hits by Bebe Cool, A Pass, Bennie Gunter, Bobi Wine, among others.

He recently released a ‘Sauce riddim’ with a host of Ugandan and other artistes from Germany, UK and Jamaica.

Artin Pro

Born Martin Musoke and known by many as Artin Pro, he is the producer behind Rickman’s smash hit Ebango, and most Fik Fameika’s songs. Others include Slay Queen by Chozen Blood, Dance Body by TIP Swizzy, Wanyonona by B2C.

The Weezy on the Beat
Jonathan Wendy aka The Weezy is the King of club bangers. He produced songs such as Twazikooze by HitNature, Body by Rabadaba and Jody, Big Bumper, Atakutya Gwentya by Mun G, Oh Nana by Ang3lina, among others.

Eno Beats

Born Enock Kisakye, he has produced many successful songs like Cindy’s Copycat, Embuuzi Zakutudde, Bebe Cool’s Katono, Sheebah’s Muwe, among others. Eno is the brain behind Eddy Kenzo’s Roots album, and he received a nomination in AFRIMA awards in 2017 as the best Audio Producer in East Africa.

Sir Dan Magic
Real name Oyerwot Brenny Daniel, and working in Kamwokya-based Dream Studios, Dan Magic has produced the most talked about songs of Bobi Wine such as Engule and Kyarenga, but he has also been behind many other successful songs like B2C’s Byakyuuka, Irene Ntale’s Stamina Daddy by, Tukigale by Carol Natongo and Eddy Yawe, among others. 

Producer Ronnie pro

You can’t mention the top audio producers in Uganda and leave Ronnie Pro out, real name Matovu Ronald. Working with Ntinda based Power Records; Ronnie has been behind songs like Nkuloga by Grenade, Mateeka by Chameleone, Nkuliyo by Bebe Cool among others. He works with Ntinda based Power Records.

Kaysam Kumapeesa

He has been behind many successful songs like Hana by Jose Chameleone and Pallaso, Ontagaza by B2C, Born to Win by Fik Fameica,  among others. He works with Makindye based Switch Records.
