President Museveni has had a long standing relationship with music. There as reports that he used to enjoy Gen. Elly Tumwine’s original compositions in the bush, and he has always had musicians perform on his campaigns in an effort to sway voters to his side.

The President showed us that he can also sing when he hit the studio and recorded his own smash hit Mpenkoni (Another rap) in 2010 leading up to the 2011 general elections. The President has now set up a new recording studio and it is already open to the public for business.

Located next to Lubiri S.S along Masaka road, TSF Studios was fully funded by President Museveni in an effort to help mostly up-and-coming musicians record music and elevate their talents for as cheap as Shs10,000.

According to the chairman of this project, the studio will be officially launched by Museveni who will also set the standard price of recording a song in this studio but he says it will be low and very affordable.

“This studio will be free to use for all Ugandans. All you need is a national ID, a passport photo and Shs10,000 to open up your file with us and start recording,” he added.

TSF studios also boosts of a public address system called TSF Sounds that will be used on events.

We look forward to seeing the President record another hit single from his studio.
