Though the list of prominent Ugandans claiming to be threatened by mafias is becoming long with the latest being State Minister of Finance for Investment and Privatization Evelyn Anite, President Museveni knows no mafias in Uganda.

“There are no mafias in Uganda,” said Museveni while replying to ‘Bazukuulu’ during today’s interactions on his social media.

Museveni said Uganda only has corrupt and criminal individuals whom he said they are easy to get rid of because the National Resistance Movement (NRM) has a lot of power.

“There is nobody who can criminally challenge the NRM in Uganda,” he said.

He said those talking about mafia are wrong and panicky. However, he stated that NRM is a force of justice that only deals with personalities whom they have evidence about.

“Patiently gather evidence, bring it to the authorized people and we shall strike,” he advised.
