Kawempe Division Resident City Commissioner (RCC) Deborah Nabukenya is dead after a short illness. Nabukenya got ill on Tuesday morning and was rushed to Mengo Hospital to get medical care. Her condition got worse in the hospital forcing doctors to put her oxygen to aid her in breathing.

Nabukenya was appointed Deputy RCC by President Museveni in June 2018. The news of his demise was shared by minister of ICT and National Guidance Frank Tumwebaze in a tweet that partly reads, “Just got disturbing news from @harderHB about the death of an active young and brilliant youth leader the Deputy RDC of Kawempe Deborah. Just in pain about this young girl.”

Tumwebaze described as Nabukenya as one of the best RDC’s he’s ever worked with and prayed for God’s comfort towards her family.
