Eddy Kenzo and Usher Komugisha make it to the 2019 100 Most Influential Young Africans alongside superstars Salah, Mane, Aubameyang and Caster Semenya

Singer Eddy Kenzo and sports journalist Usher Komugisha are the only two Ugandans that have made it to this year’s 100 Most Influential Young Africans.

The list helps to recognize and celebrate personalities with remarkable achievements and contributions to young people towards the development of the African continent and also serving as a motivation to millions of young people across the globe.

Usher Komugisha is one of the few female sports journalists paving the way for other young women in the industry and has been at the helm of Africa’s sports journalism, breaking down barriers in the male-dominated field of sport broadcasting.

She is a writer for the International Basketball Federation and contributor on African football to Super Sport TV, BBC Africa Football and Guardian Sport.

For Eddy Kenzo, he was recognized for inspiring young people who are under-privileged and directly impacting lives across the continent.

In its fourth year running, the 2019 list features a record of 52 females and 48 males from 32 countries. Some of the other notable stars include; Sadio Mane, Mohammed Salah, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Caster Semenya and Mr Eazi among others.
