Self-proclaimed “President of Love Niggas Basemyekozo Abakolamu” Eddy Kenzo has once again registered another international recognition. Kenzo has been named among the Top 10 African Artistes of the Decade by the Global Ranking.

The Masaka boy came in the ninth position on the list that is dominated by Nigerian artistes. Kenzo and Tanzania’s Diamond Plantinumz are the only artistes from East and Southern Africa.

Kenzo’s inclusion on the list can’t be regarded a surprise as for the last ten years he has not set his foot backwards. The singer released his first hit Stamina in 2010 and it got him local recognition. He kept the consistency throwing various big songs until 2014 when he threw a mega-hit Sitya loss that eventually saw him cross borders.

Back to the Global Ranking list that is dominated by West African musicians, Nigeria’s Star boy Wizkid topped the decade followed by Angelique Kidjo. Psquare, Davido, D’Banj, Sarkodie, Timaya and Tiwa Savage all made it to the list.
