Vipers SC declared 2019/20 UPL Champions; Maroons, Proline, Tooro United relegated

Vipers Sports Club have been named 2019/20 StarTimes Uganda Premier League Champions.

Uganda’s football governing body FUFA President, Moses Magogo confirmed the news as he declared that the season was over. Magogo revealed that the Executive applied the 75% sporting rule so as to award Vipers SC the title.

Speaking during a special press conference held at FUFA House in Mengo today morning, Magogo also noted that Maroons FC, Proline FC, and Tooro United FC have been relegated to the FUFA Big League.

Before the league was halted in March, Vipers were leading the UPL standings with 54 points from 25 games. The Venoms were four points ahead of second-placed KCCA FC.

Vipers SC will represent Uganda in the CAF Champion’s league while KCCA FC will represent Uganda in the CAF Confederation’s cup.
