Uganda crosses the 3,000 mark of COVID-19 infections as Health Ministry confirms 65 new cases

Ministry of Health has today confirmed 65 new cases. This brings the cumulative confirmed cases of Ugandans to 3,037.

Amongst the 65 new confirmed cases; 62 are contacts and alerts (Kampala-20, Kikuube-10, Luwero-8, Buikwe-4, Zombo-4, Adjumani-3, Arua-3, Hoima-3, Wakiso-2, Jinja-1, Mbarara-1, Mayuge-1, Pallisa-1 and Yumbe-1).

The other are two truck drivers from different entry points and one health worker from Kampala. Additionally two truck drivers who tested positive for the deadly virus were not permitted entry.
