As the saying about necessity and invention goes, Uganda’s largest brewery; Uganda Breweries Limited (UBL), has released a toll free line for Ugandans to order their favourite beers, spirits and whiskies for home delivery. These are available for Ugandans in Kampala, the wider Central, Eastern, Western, Northern, Western and Southern regions.

This also comes at no delivery fees and reduced prices of beers with bottles going for only Shs3000 and cans for only Shs5000. Ugandans can order for their favourite beers such as Tusker Lite, Tusker Malt Larger or Guinness and whiskies such as Johnnie Walker, Singleton, and Ciroc, just to mention a few.

These new measures come at a time when Uganda and the world at large are experiencing an almost global lockdown and immobilization where everyone is required to keep in doors.

From a life of ‘parte after parte’ to ‘zero parte’ following the cancellation of events and social gatherings, Ugandans have taken to social media to stand in solidarity to prevent new cases as well as tell stories of struggles of exercising social distancing in the wake of this pandemic.

“Standing in solidarity with government to discourage social gatherings, we are aware that Ugandans are spending most of their time at home but still would like to have a good time. This move is the UBL way of saying we are together in this and if you want a good time and great experience, we shall bring it home to you,” says Annette Nakiyaga, Head of Luxury Portfolio, UBL.

Ugandans in Kampala and the central region should call 0800280290, those in northern and eastern Uganda should call 0800277001 and those in western and southern Uganda should call 0800277000 to have their liquor delivered home.
