As scientists all over the world are having sleepless nights in laboratories trying to come up with a cure for the deadly COVID-19 disease, a graduate of Science Technology – Biology from Kyambogo University, Robert Mijumbi claims to have found the cure already.

Yesterday April 10, 2020, Mijumbi wrote to the Ministry of Health about his cure for COVID-19. He told the ministry that he has been secretly doing independent research in the field of molecular medicine and one of his key milestones is discovering the cure for HIV.

Mijumbi explained that he managed to reduce the HIV viral load in a very short period (four weeks) and the virus was undetectable.

“Basing on my experience in dealing with HIV, an RNA virus like the Corona, I am strongly compelled to believe that the same procedure used to develop a cure against HIV can generate positive results against Coronavirus.” Mijumbi’s letter reads in part.

Mijumbi has been documenting most of his research on YouTube and a new clip dedicated to COVID-19 has already been uploaded to the giant video sharing platform. Mijumbi, a CEO of Biobert Research Group Limited further assured the Ministry that he can generate the enzyme that kills Coronavirus within ten days.

“In my method, I design an enzyme that selectively digests the genotype of the virus. The therapy is done intravenously and because of high specificity of this enzyme, recovery is expected with immediate effect. Basing on my current techniques, it takes up to ten days to produce this enzyme.” Mijumbi’s letter reads further.

The Ministry is yet to issue any official communication about Mijumbi’s letter.
