St Mary’s Hospital Lacor in Gulu has called for calm after two unidentified admitted COVID-19 suspects died on Sunday evening at the hospital’s Isolation Unit. In a statement, Lacor Hospital has refuted claims that the two patients succumbed to COVID-19.

The hospital said that they received three patients with signs similar to COVID-19 although they had other underlying diseases. It added that they took samples from the patients and is now waiting for results.

“They were brought in critical condition but unfortunately two passed on, they had symptom related to that of COVID19, though we have to wait for results,” the hospital said in a statement.
