Uganda’s road to recovery of COVID-19 patients is continuing to register 100 per cent success as a total of 41 patients have today been discharged.

The 41 patients have fully recovered from the virus after they tested negative twice for COVID-19. They were receiving treatment from Gulu and Arua Regional Referral Hospitals.

The discharge was overseen by State Minister for Primary Health Care, Dr Joyce Moriku Kaducu. She praised the frontline health workers for the continued bravely in putting their life on the line to save lives.

Moriku also urged Ugandans to continue observing the set prevent measures for the virus in order to avoid the wide spread of the virus which may lead to overwhelming health centres.

Uganda has now registered a total of 161 COVID-19 recoveries with no death. The Ministry of Health today confirmed 14 new COVID-19 cases taking the tally of total confirmed cases to 679.
