During his 17th nation address about the country’s progress on the fight against COVID- 19, President Yoweri Museveni said a decision on reopening of schools will be made before September.  Museveni said it could be a dead year, they could allow only the candidates to return or the decision will be easier if world get coronavirus vaccine.

While picking nomination forms to rerun for the Koboko Municipality Member of Parliament Seat, Investment Minister Evelyn Anite asked government to quickly decide on the matter of reopening schools.

Anite revealed that over 150 young girls in Koboko Municipality have been impregnated during the COVID-19 lock down. She said as they wait on government’s decision, as a leader, she intends to call meetings involving all leaders at different levels to see how to handle the matter.
