The former Minister for Ethics and Integrity, Miria Matembe has wondered why haters of presidential hopeful Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine are using his past to dent his regime change mission.

Matembe said Bobi Wine should be applauded for standing strong even after going through hell of various adolescent practises.

Bobi Wine’s Magere residence.

“I have never built a house that looks like that of Bobi Wine. I always hear people abusing him that he smokes weed, takes alcohol and I ask myself; how many people who smoke weed have such a beautiful mansion and a success story like that of Bobi Wine,” Matembe said during an interview on a local television.

She added, “His haters are just stupid and ignorant. They just bring weak excuses to fight this boy.”

Matembe did not hesitate to launch a rant against President Museveni as she said at the age of Bobi Wine; Museveni was staying with his parents.

“Even Museveni himself reached Bobi Wine’s age when he was still staying in his father’s house he had nothing. Leave alone the things he has stolen when he captured power,” Matembe said.

Yesterday on Monday, Matembe declared her intention to run for one of the five slots for the Elderly persons in parliament.
