Former Leader of Opposition and Kasese Woman Member of Parliament, Hon. Kiiza Winnie has joined Mugisha Muntu’s Alliance for National Transformation (ANT) party.

Kiiza becomes the 4th MP to join the Gen. Muntu led political party.  The first MPs to join included; Paul Mwiru, Gerald Karuhanga and Kasiano Wadri.

Winnie Kiiza has been a member of Forum for Democratic Change and it was during Gen. Muntu’s reign as the FDC President that she was appointed the Leader of Opposition in parliament. Last month she announced that she wasn’t contesting again as the Woman MP for Kasese District.

While unveiling Kiiza, Alice Alaso, the acting ANT leader said Kiiza still has a lot to offer to the struggle.

“When you look at Hon. Winnie Kiiza you look at a honest person, an institution builder and a person of integrity. Hon. Winnie your welcome to the Alliance for National Transformation,” Alaso said.

Gen Muntu, the ANT presidential flag bearer in the forthcoming elections said it’s a pleasure to have Kiiza on their team.

“The Bible says, never despise the day of small beginnings,” Muntu said.
