Police spokesperson Fred Enanga has disclosed that Police headquarters have been temporarily closed for the next three (3) days after one of the senior officers Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIGP) Asan Kasingye tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday on Sunday.

According to Enanga, the temporary closure will enable the process of decontamination, fumigation and testing of personnel at the headquarters for COVID-19. Together with the ministry of health, Enanga said the closure will helpp them to tress all possible contacts of Afande Kasingye.

Enanga said countrywide decontamination and fumigation of all police stations is in the pipeline. He also noted that the institution has been equipped with more Personal Protective Equipments since they have to deal with public on the daily just like health workers.
