Tumukunde promises to end woes of fishermen on lakes, set to build the biggest fish processing factory

Former Security Minister and 2021 presidential candidate retired General Henry Tumukunde has promised to end the sufferings of the fishermen on Lake Kyoga.

The fishermen at Kagwara landing site in Serere district say that they have suffered a lot with the army on the lake in the name of enforcing good fishing practices.

In response, Tumukunde promised to build the biggest fish processing factory in Serere district to help the fishermen in adding value to the fish and also create employment.

Tumukunde also warned the people of Teso not to get excited over the Emyoga cash because this is politics at play. He reminded them of other previous programs of a similar nature like Entandiikwa, Bonna bagagawale and Youth livelihood programs saying they have all yielded no tangible results in as far as promoting the lives of people.

Tumukunde who is currently campaigning in the Teso sub-region instead asked the voters in the region to vote for him because he is the only credible candidate who will change their way of living.
