Kampala Lord Mayor candidate on the National Unity Platform (NUP) ticket, Nabillah Nagayi Sempala has said that ever since Hon Kyagulanyi Robert Sentamu alias Bobi Wine was nominated, the situation in the country has since escalated into a war zone.

According to Nabillah, it’s because President Yoweri Museveni acknowledges the potential of Bobi Wine to lead masses and end his three decade rule.

“President Museveni is dealing with his own image of 40 years ago. I am sure Kyagulanyi reminds President Museveni of his charisma and potential of 40 years ago,” Nabillah said while appearing on NTV this morning.

Further commenting on the continued security forces brutality on Bobi Wine’s campaign team and supporters, Nabillah said Police are under immense pressure to treat Opposition in a certain way. She stated that the regime is threatened by the huge numbers he pulls on his campaign trails.

The Kampala woman Member of Parliament has urged humanitarian agencies to come on ground and follow up on campaigns.

Kyagulanyi is today set to match to the Electoral Commission offices and engage in a discussion with the Chairman Justice Simon Byabakama. The presidential hopeful has always questioned the EC’s silence despite the continued blocking of opposition campaign meetings by the security forces.
