2021 presidential candidate, Joseph Kabuleta has finally revealed what influenced him to contest for the country’s top office in the just concluded elections.

Kabuleta says that he was aware that he could not win the presidential race even if it was to be organised in a free and fair environment. He says he only participated to have an experiential knowledge of what elections are like.

“I only wanted to know what really happens at the polls,” says Kabuleta.

The City pastor and former sports journalist got 45,424 votes representing 0.44% of the total valid votes cast.

However, he rejects the outcome of elections labelling it a scam. He claims that the results were ‘cooked’ by the top Electoral Commission officials at the tally centre. He says the announced results did not come from the field.

“If there is a true correlation between what happened at the polling station and what happened at the tally centre, why has it taken the EC two weeks to release information on how polling stations voted,” he says.
