COVID-19: Uganda’s positivity rate drops to 7.9%

The health ministry has revealed that 434 out of 5480 people tested positive from the coronavirus, signaling a 7.9% positivity rate. Earlier this week, government revealed that it will start easing lockdown when the positivity rate drops to 5%.

Data from the Ministry of Health further indicates that the country recorded 37 deaths on Thursday, bringing the total number to 2286.

More good news indicates that recoveries have risen to 65083 after 987 were confirmed to have beaten the COVID-19 battle.
